We are happy to say that we won the competition "Challenge 57" in Oskarshamn in early March! This means that we're going to play at the "Latitud 57" festival with Magnus Uggla, Kapten röd and H.E.A.T! 2011-10-19 : Frontback at Rookiefestival 2011!
On Friday the 28th of October you can witness Frontback at this years edition of Rookie Festival, or "Rookiefestivalen", which focuses on new promising bands from Sweden. Since this is something few bands get to experience, it's a real honour for us to do this gig. We hope to see as many of our fans there as possible. One song is already done, and hopefully it will be released just in time for Christmas.

Hello Barbies & Kens! :)Just wanted to let you know that we're currently in the studio recording two new tracks for you guys. This time we wanted an outsider to overlook the recording process and we think that the right person for that job is Johan Blomström of Blinded Colony. Basically this guy tells us what sucks and what doesn't :) He also has a really good ear when it comes to getting the perfect sound that we're looking for. Frontback has reached a new level with this recording session, for sure.
Can't wait til' you'll hear the end result.
Meanwhile we're also rehearsing for an upcoming gig at Industribaren - Värnamo, which will be a blast!

Hellooo...A quick update regarding what's going on at the headquarters of Frontback:
Right now, we're booking a studio where two new tracks will be recorded. We'll keep you updated on the progress of the recording sessions when we get going. All we can tell you right now, is that the material sounds really promising. Probably our best work to date...

2010-11-09 : Radio P3
Hi guys!Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but we've been busy doing gigs, mixing and writing new material.
First of all, this thursday (11/11), swedish radio P3 will air "Running For Better Days" during the "P3 Rock"-hour, starting at 22.00. So, listen will ya! ;)
Also, we've entered the final stages of mixing the track "I'm Sorry". Some of you have already heard it live, the rest of you will hopefully be able to hear this song pretty soon, both here and on MySpace.
Additional recordings are also in the works. We're currently looking for a suitable studio where we're gonna record 2-3 new songs, aiming for an early 2011 release. More about this later...

Frontback would like to thank each and everyone who showed up at Gunnarsö to see us supporting the legendary STATUS QUO!It truly was a magical evening and the response we got was nothing but mindblowing. We will never forget this moment in our career. So, a big THANK YOU to family, friends & fans for supporting us. We wouldn't be where we are without you guys!
Also, big boogie-thanx to Francis Rossi and the rest of Status Quo for sharing the stage with us! ROCK ON (for another 40 years ;))!
Next monday (Aug 9th), swedish radio P4 will do an interview with us, where we'll also perform an acoustic version of a suprise track. Don't miss!
After that, we'll enter mixing-mode again and finish the recording of our two new songs - "I'm Sorry" & "All I Wanna Do". Exciting indeed :)

2010-05-28 : News, news...and some news
Hello friends!Just wanted to let you in on what's happening at camp Frontback...
Right now we're doing various shows in different parts of Sweden to support our latest single - 'Heartattack'. If you want to catch us live, take a look at the gigs-section. We might be closer than you think!
We're also in the middle of a recording session where two new songs are taking shape. One of them has the working title "All I Wanna Do". This is a very dynamic, powerful track with a really catchy chorus.
The second track is a ballad(!), which is entitled "I'm Sorry". Again, a very powerful, epic song with a serious "goosebump factor" ;)
Both songs have already made their live debut, which means that some of our close friends have already heard them. The response, so far, has been nothing but great, so hopefully the rest of you will love 'em too. The plan is to release these songs later this summer, so stick around!
In other news, we've been selected to participate in "Svensktoppen nästa", a national music competition where we'll perform the track "Running For Better Days". The first gig will take place on the 19th of July in our hometown of Växjö. If you live nearby, then come down and give us your support. Always fun to see our friends in the Frontback family :)
The wheels are in motion and it's great time to be a member of Frontback!

2010-04-20 : Frontback supporting STATUS QUO!
On Wednesday, the 4th of august 2010, Frontback will open for the legendary STATUS QUO as they finish up the Swedish leg of their “Pictures: Exposed - World Tour 2009-2010”. The show will take place in Oskarshamn – Gunnarsö and tickets can be bought through Eventim ( LINK ), where you also can find more info about the gig.“This feels both unbelievable and fantastic!” David comments… “I remember being 6-7 years old when my dad introduced me to Status Quo by playing the ‘Blue For You’-LP at home. I guess the style of boogie rock-n’-roll combined with harder, more driven playing was something that appealed to me, as I was hooked from the very first song. Looking back, I think this was probably the very first step for me that eventually led to the discovery of hard rock and metal. So, in a way, Status Quo has been with me from the very beginning. I think a lot of other musicians in modern rock bands, including the rest of Frontback, can agree that this band is a true inspiration within the world of rock music. And now, here I am, playing in a band that in the near future will open for these guys. It feels like the circle is complete somehow :) incredible and emotional at the same time… Anyway, we’re all really looking forward to this gig and we hope to see as many members of our Frontback-family as possible in audience, as this will be a night to remember for sure. See you there!”

2010-01-26 : Get ready for a heartattack! ;)
Greetings!Finally our new single "Heartattack" is READY for release. This is a song that we've worked on for a looong time now, and I guess you could say that this is a very important step for us. Not only is this the first song to feature the new line-up, but we're also proud to annonce that this single will mark the beginning of a collaboration with DANIE CORTESE ENTERTAINMENT!
Danie is a real powerhouse within the entertainment industry and has been around for a long time, working together with the biggest names in music, film etc... Some of her past clients include: Paul Anka, Backstreet Boys, Beach Boys, Ray Charles & The Eagles to name a few.
We're really looking forward to working with Danie and getting "Heartattack" out to every nation. But more about this later...

2009-12-30 : 2010 - Here we come!
Well, I guess some of you might know this already, but there's a new guy in town: Frontback would like to welcome Axel Graneskog as our new lead guitar player!We've played together with Axel for a couple of months now and it feels really good. Axel's personality and style of playing fits perfectly within the band and he has already given us a fresh perspective on the songwriting process. So, welcome Axel!
As a special treat, we've uploaded a clip of our new single "Heartattack" (look under MEDIA), which will be released in early 2010. Stay tuned to your favourite radio stations, as this song will be distributed worldwide. But more about this later...

2009-11-14 : Latest headlines...
Hi guys! Just thought we'd give you an update on what's happening in camp Frontback...First of all, during the next couple of weeks we'll ship the first official copies of "The Hand Of Rock" to our distributor, which in turn means that it will be available worldwide just in time for christmas! Now, there's a perfect gift for your loved ones ;)
The reason why it has taken us so long to get this EP out in the open, is that we all felt it needed some extra production work in order reach the level of quality we're all aiming for. So, we've recorded some additional parts, added new interesting elements to the tracks and now it finally feels like the true potential of these songs shine through.
So, while you're waiting for the EP to be released, please sit back and enjoy the new versions of "Running For Better Days" and "You Lie". Both available here and on our MySpace-page.
I guess some of you are wondering how the search for our new lead guitarist is proceeding. All I can tell you is that we've tried out some really skilled musicians and some of them have even proved to be possible candidates. But we don't wanna rush things, so you'll get more info on this matter when the time is right.
Meanwhile we're all looking forward to getting back on stage later this month. For this gig, our good friend Axel Graneskog will handle the lead guitar parts. Music 4 life! - Frontback
2009-10-01 : Update
Hello everyone!Just wanted to let you know that we're still alive and kicking ;)
And there's A LOT kicking actually... First of all, we have to say that the overall feeling during rehearsals is better than it's been in a looong time. There's a real spark of creativity in the air and some really cool ideas are gradually taking shape.
Right now we're recording a brand new song with probably the best production work we've done in a long time. It's got a really catchy chorus and some excellent riffs. Basically, everything but vocals are done, so hopefully you will hear the result pretty soon.
Regarding the search for a new lead guitar player: Both of our good friends Kristoffer Stridh (Hom-Dai) and David Blomé (Stacy's In, Ex-Unchained) have offered to help us out during recordings and gigs, so this ship is doing more than just floating ;)
We're still looking for a permanent member though, so if you're interested, just contact us and we'll arrange an audition.
Next week it's time for a new photosession, which we're all really excited about. A new logo is also in the works, so keep your eyes open...

2009-09-15 : Frontback part ways with Filippa - looking for new guitarist
Last Wednesday was a very sad and difficult day for all members of the band. After some time of discontent within the band we all felt that we had to have a bandmeeting and discuss the future of Frontback. After a long discussion and a lot of thinking we came to the conclusion that the only way a majority of the band would be satisfied, would be if Filippa left the group.We must clarify that none of the remaining bandmembers question Filippas skills and knowledge of music. She is very talented and kicks ass on stage. But sometimes things just don't work due to personal and musical differences, which was the case here.
We want to thank Filippa for everything that she has done for the band and wish her all the best in the future! It's been two years of fun experiences and a lot of roadtrips :)
No one has lost a friend here, we just don't play in the same band anymore.
Meanwhile, we'll gradually start looking for a new lead guitarist to fill the empty spot left behind.

We've been busy in the rehearsal room putting new songs together, and though it's been a lot of work, the overall feeling is that we've really reached a higher level when it comes to arranging good, solid songs. It's safe to say that we're really looking forward to letting you hear the end result.About "The Hand Of Rock"... We're still putting the finishing touches on the cover. Since we're a band with focus on quality, we won't release anything unless everything is perfect, so please be patient ;) Meanwhile, keep your eyes and ears open, both here and on MySpace, since a new teaser track might appear soon...

Hello boys and gals... Just wanted to give you an update on what's happening in Frontback-land.We've just returned home from a little trip to Stockholm where we did a gig together with Robin Ericsson (from the swedish version of "Idol") and his band Degreed. The whole evening was a blast and we want to thank everyone who showed up.
Right now we're waiting for the first mix of our new EP, which everyone is really excited about. This time around we've put the mixing duties in the hands of local mastermind Martin Bauer, and we're all sure that the result will be nothing but awesome.

2009-03-28 : In the studio...
Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we're alive and kicking :) This week we've recorded all basic tracks for our new EP and it already sounds amazing! Considering the fact that we recorded most of the material live in studio, the performances sound really tight and organic. We really feel that Frontback has reached another level as a band and we're sure you'll hear that as well when the songs are all done.The forthcoming EP will contain four new songs, including "You Lie", "Running", "You Can't Save Me When I'm Gone" & "You and Me". The sound can, as always, be described as "Party-(Hard)Rock" ;)
Anyway, we'll keep you posted about the progress of the new EP. Meanwhile, there's a couple of gigs coming up, which feels awesome. We can't wait to leave the rehearsal place and hit the stages again :) See you there!

2008-09-28 : Jack rocks / New songs / EP cover / New gig
We are proud to announce that we have been selected to participate in the “Jack Rocks” competion, as one of twelve bands out of approximately 200 bands that signed up for the competition. More information about “Jack Rocks” can be found here: ( LINK ).”Like never before” and ”You can’t save me when I’m gone” have been added to our library of songs and they have been performed live a couple of times now.
The cover for our EP “Back on track” is currently being designed by Ami Helge, meaning that the EP will hopefully be available in a couple of weeks or so…

2008-07-31 : The new EP is fully recorded!
The recordings of the four songs for our new EP are now finished. The result already sounds great! Things that remain now are mixing, cover design and CD production. The songs will of course also be available at MySpace as soon as they are finished.The songs are two old ones and two new ones, of which "Madness Hurricane" is one.

Well, the Swedish, nation-wide competion "Rockkarusellen" has finally come to an end, and we are very happy to announce that Frontback ended up at 4:th place among 274 bands!!! And not only that, Swedish radio P3 (Sweden’s most known music radio station) gave us the highest score of all bands, so we are reaalllly proud! :-)Hi! & Thanx to all other bands that we've met during this rollercoaster ride! I'm sure we'll meet again! And last but not least, thanx to all of our friends that came with us last night to Linköping. You're really a part of the Frontback-family!
Now we have a really cool summer ahead of us. Next week we'll attend the first day of “Sweden Rock Festival” and rock out at the “Alarmstage”. Be there! Also, later this summer Frontback will appear at the mainstage during “KarlOskar-dagarna” in our hometown of Växjö. A really proud moment for us indeed!

Resan är gratis, men inträdesbiljetten till finalen i Linköping kostar 100 kronor. (Med lite tur kan priset komma att bli lägre...) 2008-04-26 : Best band in Småland!
We are extremely happy and proud to announce that we won the region-final (Smålandsfinalen) in Rockkarusellen in Jönköping tonight! That means that we will be playing in the nation-final (riksfinalen) in Linköping the 31:st of May, together with seven other bands from all over Sweden.

We are through to the region-final (Smålandsfinal) in Rockkarusellen, which will take place the 26:th of April at Kulturhuset in Jönköping! 2008-03-24 : Frontback at the SVEA-convention in Växjö!
We are extremely proud to announce that Frontback has been chosen to represent the music-scene in Växjö at the final day of the SVEA-convention. (Sunday 30:th of March at 15:00.) The convention will take place at Katedralskolan in Växjö 27/3 to 30/3 and will be attended by over 250 representatives from across the nation. After a lot of requests from our fans, the pre-production of a new EP has begun. It will contain two brand new songs and also new recordings of two of our favourite old songs! The EP will hopefully be available just in time for the summer!
